Just I want to tell you all that accuracy of Yahoo!'s map data is really high. 
Most of all features are based on 1 to25,000 scale, not small scale data.
So we do not have to worry so much about messy confusion what Daniel-san encounterd. 

In any rate, I also think manual checks of "local experts" is good way.
