For now I am just asking what should be listed in
https://matkoniecz.github.io/OSM-wikipedia-tag-validator-reports/
and Lithuania-specific pages.
I would make bot edit only in case that there would be a clear agreement
that
- (1) wikipedia and wikidata tags are useful to add when only one of
the is present
- (2) bot edits in Lithuania can be made by people not speaking
local language
- (3) this specific bot edits is welcome
And there would be specific bot edit proposal clearly proposing that,
with documentation of bot edit for review.
But yes, any entries detected as dubious, conflicting, invalid would
not be modified and only listed for human review like ones at
https://matkoniecz.github.io/OSM-wikipedia-tag-validator-reports/Lietuva%20(Lithuania%20-%20Litwa).html
are listed for Lithuania - and would be skipped from bot edits.
That is how
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Mechanical_Edits/Mateusz_Konieczny_-_bot_account/adding_wikidata_tags_based_on_wikipedia_tags_in_Poland
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Mechanical_Edits/Mateusz_Konieczny_-_bot_account/adding_wikipedia_tags_based_on_wikidata_tags_in_Poland
are operating for few years

I wanted to start from (1) - because if there is no agreement that such
edits are improvement then entire idea should be skipped.
And I would disable checking and updating this class of issues in
Lithuania as they are not considered as a problem in this area.
Or maybe list them on page for human review, if this community
considers such changes as improvement but requiring human review.
