We could never do without peer-reviewing of contributions, and I don't
presume 'MMORPG grinding' :) is going to change any of that or take that
away from OSM. It could however play a role in covering bases that the
current open & egalitarian system does not: in motivating and, to some
extent, regulating the powers of newcomers. As such, it could help reduce -
though never fully prevent - cases like the one you link to.

What is the story behind this West Harrisburg vandalism situation by the
way?
