I think this is an awesome idea. Are you just going to use Google Hangout and stream to youtube? If you need help on getting set up with this, let me know. It's easy. What's great with it hangout is that you get the youtube video for free http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DU51Tfne9pE&feature=plcp - I am not sure whether the res is good enough for screencasts.
