Hi Sam,
Thanks for reaching out to the community.
You will need to follow the guidelines here:
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Import/Guidelines
including creating a wiki page for your import describing your process.
You will also need to make your script available, and at least a sample of
the output from the script.
In regards to your specific idea, transit routes in OSM are relations that
reference other elements, such as roads, that are usually already in OSM.
This means that you cannot simply "upload" this data to OSM, but rather
must come up with a method of building the necessary relations. How you
intend to do this should be described on the wiki page for your import.
Regarding the license, CC-BY 4.0 International is "likely incompatible"[0]
