The api recently changed to version 0.2 which is not documented on the
REST apage yet,  that's probablt why you get a 404. But when I use api
0.2 I only get an empty set from you boundingbox, soo you might want
to check the coordinates.

Yes the GPS track logs are stored in the database, and no they are not
fetched with the "map" argument.  With map you will get the map that
volunteers have drawn based on the track logs.   "trackpoints" should
give the track logs
