[OSM-talk] JOSM and swedish characters

This cannot be the whole story.  If I set the property correctly (the
property box shows it correctly) and do NOT upload the data but do
Files->Save the the saved file whoose data has not been at the server
does not contain the correct character.  I use ISO8859-1.  So is JOSM
supposed to work with that?  I do not use UTF-8.

Is there a workaround?  Does the entity notation work (like &Aaring;)?
Will it be presented correctly in osmarender2 (when I get text to
work)?

That worked.  Maybe you should put that sentence in the documentation...

I think I will cleanup the OSM-classes in Perl and maybe package them
as an CPAN-module that people can use if they want to write scripts
doing things with the database.  Or was this one of the things that
should not be encouraged?
