Thats sub-optimal, as it's such a cool tool that lots of people could
enter data easily with it could easily get a lot of data.

I'm unclear on why you need to use this and not the API?

Yes it's suboptimal. This could be incorporated in the rails front page
and just use the login cookie. Or, the API could record IP address
instead of needing a user for tracking.

Yes I do. The line has to be drawn somewhere on things that might
subvert the data.
