Ahh, now that I like :) It needs to be really simple. Some suggestions:

A link to a page explaining why anyone should care needs to be prominent.
Otherwise it currently just looks like we're producing low quality maps for
no good reason :/ I'm guessing the 'free' link is supposed to provide that
(?) but it's not very obvious.

In the view box, for the moment the gallery should probably be the most
prominent. From my limited experience, sending people to the slippy map is a
very underwhelming showcase. Until it renders all available data well, has a
good search facility and is a bit more inviting by default than a landsat
grab of the globe, it's not very exciting and invites unfair comparisons with
multimap, streetmap, etc.

The featured images page is *far* more impressive, and if some of those were
shown alongside an image of the globe (and perhaps Europe) showing current
coverage, you get an idea both of our progress and ambition (as people have
said a few times before).

That's all I can think of for now!

Kind regards,
Tom
