Here's a reminder that I'm trying to get together a mapping
weekend in Växjö, Sweden, two weeks from now. This will be the
*first ever* OpenStreetMap mapping weekend outside of Britain.

However, so far it looks like becoming a disaster, as only me and
one more person have signed up.

Note that even though Sweden is 1590 km long, Växjö is not a
remote location, only 56°52′N. You can leave Copenhagen by train
at 16:03 on Friday and be in Växjö at 18:38. If you leave
Stockholm by train at 15:20, you arrive at 18:54. Bus 836 from
Swebusexpress.se leaves Gothenburg at 15:20 and arrives at 19:15.
I'm aiming for a meetup downtown at 19:30 on Friday evening. A
train from Berlin Hbf at 12:21 Friday lunch is in Växjö at 23:40.

Everybody pays their own costs and makes their own reservations.
We're staying at a youth hostel and everything is kept at a very
affordable level.

Sign up and find more information at

Be warned that the 2nd ever OSM mapping weekend outside of Britain
will be much further north in Sweden, at 59°37′N. That location
caters to visitors from Finland and Norway rather than Denmark.
