[OSM-talk] Motorway junction tagging

Following the excellent talk OSM gave to HertsLUG last week, I've been 
generating tracklogs of journeys and taking very circuitous routes as a 
result. I've also discovered JOSM is curiously addictive :)

One question which I'm not sure is answered on the wiki is how to 
document motorway junction numbers.What should be tagged as "A1(M) 
Junction 9" - the motorway_link? the roundabout? a node in the middle of 
the motorway? Each has it's pros and cons with regard to renderability 
and navigability, but what's the current consensus?
