I'm generally of the same opinion, however I might define "special
relevance" differently.

My main concern, too, is to first get a map of the streets, big
streets first, some stuff that's relevant for me and so on.
But that does not include stuff that's *only* relevant to me (or a few
friends).

No, *then* we start on the updates, although seemingly unchanging, in
reality you can keep busy just updating a Map if you have reached a
certain level of detail.
