Is there any value in keeping nodes over (say) 14 days old which
aren't part of any segments, and have no attributes other than
created_by?
I realise that people now create nodes in the Yahoo applet then join
them up in JOSM, so they're "unused" for a short intervening while,
but a 14-day period would seem quite generous. Then, as you say, a
computer could do an automated clean-up every so often...
