Hi,
I am primarily editing Metro Manila, Philippines

I am writing because there are some weird things happening to my edits
lately. Just last week (may 24) we had a short mapping party, I had 4
new OSM mapper involved. After half a days work, we added new
nodes/segments/ways using a pre-downloaded osm file of the surrounding
area.
Later that night we tried uploading the data to OSM. A couple of 500
errors occurred. I thought there were problems uploading due to the API
upgrade so I decided to try the next couple of days. Still I
encountered a lot of 500 error. Until finally I was able to complete
the upload yesterday (May 30).
Downloading a fresh osm file from JOSM today, I see the new
nodes/segments/ways loaded in the database (see 1.png for an example [1]).
However, the other ways seems to be disconnected.
Zooming in and out of JOSM, I later found out that some segments of the
same way are too far away from each other (see 2.png [2] and 3.png [3], notice
the lat/lon differences at the bottom-right corner of JOSM).
Totally unaware where in the world are the segments, I used the
"download from osm" button from JOSM and clicking at the map tab (see
4.png [4]). The segments are somewhere in northern Europe (was it Sweden or
Norway)!
Does anybody encountered the same problem? I also fear some of my other
edits from months before maybe affected. How can I resolve this
problem?
Cheers,
maning
