For the areas I have uploaded, I'm going (with a script) through the 
data again and remove the tags from the segments.

The nodes itself should continue carrying the "source=PGS" data, so 
anyone who cycles around the coast of a lake with a GPS device knows 
that his/her data is possibly more accurate, though.

The ways should in any case continue carrying the "created_by" and 
"source" tags.

Only to see whether an overnight import failed.

Some way to automatically record which areas have been uploaded (and 
which have still be checked) seems useful to me. People started using 
the wiki for this.

Identifying the areas where coast lines are still missing got easier 
with the oceantiles support in t at h and lowzoom.pl, but a central 
location would still be nice... Nice, but not strictly necessary ;-)
