[OSM-talk] tagging long distance footpaths (and other named footpaths)

I just use "name". Guess it might be tricky if it follows roads though; 
having said that, I don't see it as a major problem I'd guess that if the 
road bits are not labelled the user can easily figure out how to get from 
one footpath to the next. 

TBH in my mind I tend not to count the road bits as part of the long 
distance path anyway....
