OK then.  It sounds like we need a more sophisticated undo script that can query the database and find out the full list of actions that the user had done during a certain time-frame, so as to make sure to undo all of them.

I believe the user-revert script used is fairly simple and does not
have direct access to the OSM database. The script does attempt to
restore previous states, but without direct DB access it is limited.
