I do not agree with that proposal. The opt-out rule is intended to
protect the work of an individual mapper against someone shredding it
with a lawnmower based on some agreement reached on some mailing list
that the mapper might not even be able to read.

Scripts that make automated edits are immensely powerful and can
concentrate power in the hands of those who wield them. That's why the
rules are onerous, and that is a good thing.
