what's the tag for transliterations? Judging from what is mapped, it seems
the name tag is used for it?
Have a look at China for instance, I doubt that all these "names" are
genuine English names and not just mere transliterations

transliterations are extremely useful if you don't read the original
script, and IIRR from previous discussions, there are often several options
how something could be transcribed and some are more common than others, so
it might not be doable automatically with the same quality as if done by
real people, i.e. there may be a gain in storing them in our db.
