I don't know the wondershaper.

But, in the meantime I came across the LARTC HOWTO which helped me to
set up traffic shaping. And since my t at h client runs on a dedicated
(virtual) machine this was quite easy as I didn't worry about other
services. Simply all outgoing traffic is limited:

tath:~# tc qdisc add dev eth0 root tbf rate 200kbit burst 1540 latency 10ms

did the trick after installing the iproute package.

To my surprise I noticed that Martijn is listed as one of the
authors. Thanks for the good work.
