Hi Michael & everyone,
Thank you all for the enthusiasm and answers!
1) Regarding putting only trees, we don't have this information for the
moment. We'll let the user know to only put trees on OSM.
2) If we only go for specific prefilled tags (species, taxon:family,
source, natural) the user will need to pick the correct location of the
tree. For now, I'm only adding the button on geolocalized owned
observation.
3) Regarding a plant layer in OSM, I believe the best source would be to
use gbif.org. They have the most complete biodiversity database and many
apps are already pushing to it (including iNaturalist, Pl at ntNet, etc)
4) Quick question regardings tags, should the authorship of the species
be put on OSM (eg: species:Epilobium angustifolium _*L.*_)? I did not
find any info regarding the author of the species on the OSM wiki.
Last note, I'll wait for more feedback on this to complete the pull
request on my side. If the feature is completed as if, it will be
shipped in version 3.11 in September)
