[OSM-newbies] How do I enter a Canadian address so its search-able?

addr:country takes a two letter country code, the UK is GB Canada is CA. If
I enter en3 6rg,gb I get the same search result as EN3 6RG,GB so it appears
the search is not case sensitive.
The UK has the same format for the postcode as Canada yet the search works
with a space in the UK postcode but not in the Canadian one. Whom should I
take this up with? Who is responsible for postcode formats?
Thanks John
