Interesting. I've been keeping an eye on the list of names in the Bath area
(in UK). I reckon we have nearly 870 unique names, of which 730 are street
names, and the rest are pubs, churches, parks, tourist attractions, place
names and other POIs (roughly in that order). As a rough estimate I think
the A-Z index for Bath has roughly 1500 names listed in it (although I avoid
looking at that too closely). I think a big chunk of the difference is all
those building names that Bath has, that OSM has no way of tagging yet.
