Thank you, Marcos (Mar Mar) for opening up this topic. I agree with
proactive welcoming, as I've experienced it first hand. And that's what I
do especially with new recruits as well: consistent follow ups and invites
to events, and answering their curious questions!

Meet your Mapper is a great tool as well! I would like to suggest
mainstream, double check active channels and update the OSM community index
<http://openstreetmap.community> so new mappers can look and search if
there's an existing OSM mapping community in their area, and hopefully
reach out to them for possible tutorship.

Tilman, thanks for this great tool! Not a very techy person but your step
by step instructions is comprehensive. Keep up the good work!
